How to Revise for Exams!

How to not be stressed by Alex and Sarah (Spikey and Patrice)

Although 2015 holds exciting new possibilities, there are also some less thrilling things: like exams. For the upper years in school, exams are too close for comfort and therefore many people will rightfully become anxious about it. However Sarah and I are here to assist you!

Step 1 of becoming immune to exam stress:
Revise. Revise a lot. The worst feeling when you’re approaching an exam is the feeling that you’re completely unprepared. The only thing you can do to prevent this is to revise for your test. It seems so obvious but really, it is the key thing to stop you from worrying.

Step 2:
When you’ve revised the most you can, sometimes the best thing you can do is be confident. You’ve done so much revision there’s no way you could fail. And, even if you do, it’s not the end of the world. Sometimes you just have to think about whether this exam is the be all and end all.

Step 3:
Hush little children don’t you cry, if you get enough sleep and put down that pie. The exam will go your way, and you’ll thank us for what we will say :D
Sleep and eat well! This is the principal rule to a healthy lifestyle. Without sleep and substantial food your exam will seem a whole lot harder.

Step 4:
This is possibly the daftest suggestion we have but why not try yoga or even meditation. You may find yourself scoffing at such an idea but in reality 30 minutes of yoga or meditation can really help you to relax and clear your mind of all these worries.

Step 5:
Whilst it’s important to do sufficient revision for your exams, don’t overdo it. Have a hobby that can take your mind away from your school life and remember to think positively! Good luck!

M6 Form Assembly!

M6
Hello Harvie here! M6’s blogger / Lead Blogger,

This week we will be blogging about my forms assembly on resilience!
So what is resilience you may ask? Well here is the dictionary definition:

Resilience-
The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.

So my form took up the role of doing an assembly on this topic and with pleasure too! We prepared a well-structured presentation for the college.

In our assembly we talked about a few celebrities that were and still are very resilient during their careers! The ones we talk about included:
*The Beatles
*Rebecca Adlington
*Bill Gates
But of course there were many more!

In our assembly we included a video showing animals that are resilient in their normal lives. At the bottom we will add a link to the video.

We would also like to leave you with a quote to have a think about and that will also be added to the bottom!

Thanks for reading,

Naughty Or Nice?

Hello and welcome to the M9 blog. We hope you all had an epic first term and a great Christmas! On the last day,  in form we did  Secret Santa. I wasn’t in the day when they discussed about the £1 gifts, but I still brought something in, I even got something too! We had an awesome form party with Pringles, Pop and other food I loved the party so did loads of the others! Alex Mason even played ‘The Christmas Song’ for us on her guitar.

We had an assembly with Mrs Hulme before the holidays and we had a naughty list and a nice list, I was on the nice list (I was happy to see my name!) We got ‘nice tags’ to stick in our planners and we had to behave in form (obviously easy for me) Mrs Gimbert gave lots of people in the form a nice tag, but two people wanted a naughty tag because they thought it was cool but then they changed their minds.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back! Can’t believe it’s 2015; time flies! It’s always a bit of a challenge to come back after Christmas but hopefully this New Year opens plenty of new possibilities, and many opportunities. Many people are trying New Year’s resolutions and we think a good one is trying to be more considerate and kinder to others. This is a really easy and sweet thing to do. Why don’t you try it, here are some tips:
1) Smile more
2) Compliment others
3) Be positive!

Have you got any resolutions of your own? Tell us in the comments! Mine is to revise more, especially with these Y10 mocks coming up, I’m a little worried about it but with some hard work it should be fine: I hope! If you’re worrying about it too we have an upcoming blog on Tips for revising! Anyway we hope this year is filled with joy and good will!
